The Laundry Room
One of the rules at The Laundry Room, the speakeasy inside Commonwealth, is no photography, although guests are invited to pencil sketch their renderings. The intimate 28-seat room marked with a laundry pin on the outside is the place to go on a night out!
Here you will find premium whiskies and rums as well as an entire menu of cocktails not found on the Commonwealth menu. The room is decorated with images of Hollywood sirens such as Marlene Dietrich and Rita Hayworth as well doors on the ceiling.
The Laundry Room is both a great way to impress someone and a cool respite from all the other packed bars and clubs in town. Even better, this exclusive experience doesn’t require dropping thousands of dollars on a table at a nightclub.
This place is strictly cocktails-only. The menu is a tiny book with speciality cocktails and premium whiskeys and ryes. Or you can go off-book, and tell the bartender working that night (there is usually only one) what type of drinks you usually like, and then he or she will mix something together based on your preferences.
