Golden Harvest was established in the 1950s, but the story of apples on this land goes back much further.

The apple orchards of the upper Hudson Valley are some of the most productive in the world, and have a history that goes back hundreds of years. The climate and soil composition is especially good for growing apples, especially in Columbia County. Golden Harvest Farm believes in the importance of conserving water and our Earth's resouces. In the mid-sixties they were one of the first to install a drip irrigation systems in the Northeast. They also use an Integrated Pest Management system in order to achieve the best crop possible while ensuring that the orchard will be healthy and sustainable for generations to come.
