Hotel Mountain Brook

What They Are about

Hotel Mountain Brook is a peaceful, scenic retreat in the heart of the Catskills Mountains, offering travelers and adventurers an inspired stay. Originally built in the 1940s as an operating hotel, this historic property underwent a major renovation in 2008 as part of a revitalization of Tannersville.

In 2021, {verdigreen} hotels acquired Hotel Mountain Brook, then redesigned and rebranded the lodge with a focus on authentic hospitality and experiential guest stays to combine its deep roots with the desire to connect travelers to the local community.

Hotel Mountain Brook's welcoming atmosphere offers an exceptional stay to our guests: a luxurious, rustic retreat in which to relax after reveling in local area activities.
Watch the sunset from our mountainside benches, roast marshmallows on our stone terrace, or take a midday nap in our wildflower field. We have acres of mountain land with incredible views!
Our dining room by day, cozy bar and lounge by night offers guests a place to unwind and hang by the stone fireplace with a glass of wine.
At The Choose Your Own Adventure Room: peruse our curated collection of books, movies and boardgames "for rent" or play shuffleboard, foosball or video games on our custom classic Atari console.
Hotel Mountain Brook offers a variety of accommodation options.

Each of our newly renovated guest rooms will feel like your cozy mountain home away from home. Hand selected original art adorn our walls, velvet black-out curtains provide an intimate setting, and thoughtful lighting design helps create the perfect ambience for a getaway. Rustic-chic rooms in the 2 main buildings feature plush furnishings, free Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs, DVD players, and en suite bathrooms with tubs.

Upgraded rooms feature fireplaces, private balconies and/or shared porches with mountain views.
Two high-end cabins, The Rose and The Raven, provide unmatched privacy and scenic views from private terraces. With a design concept inspired by Romantic period poetry, these Adirondack cabins create a dreamy escape from daily life.
Our spacious Three Bedroom Suite, Many Trails, is the perfect option for a larger group. Many Trails is a generous sized two-level mini lodge, complete with a living room, full kitchen and dining area in addition to the front and back entrances. This Suite was inspired by the original stewards of the land, the Mohicans, and a portion of the proceeds is donated to the Stockbridge Munsee Mohican Cultural Affairs as part of our ongoing Land Acknowledgment.
A homemade, complimentary breakfast is served each morning and can be enjoyed in one of our common areas, on our wrap-around porch, or in the comfort of your guest room. Our breakfast includes a continental style buffet and one chef's special hot item, prepared fresh daily. 24-hour complimentary tea and coffee  bar, mini fridge access, and water to refill your hydroflasks conveniently located in our game room.

We also offer complimentary drinks and snacks for your game-playing and movie-watching or to take with you on your hike.

Hotel Mountain Brook is truly a special destination grounded by the majestic mountains surrounding us. Inhale the fresh mountain air, take in the magic of Mother Nature, and treat yourself to a trip of total rejuvenation.
