Ironside Fish and Oyster Bar

What They Are about

Nestled in the city’s exciting culinary scene at Little Italy is neighborhood favorite Ironside Fish & Oyster Bar on India Street. Little Italy was built by the fishing industry and Ironside continues that narrative with their contemporary interpretation of the classic fish house and oyster bar; it’s a perfect fusion of contemporary dining while being mindful of a rich past.

Experience the bounty of the Pacific Ocean catch of the day as its natural resources are expertly presented with a constantly evolving menu at Ironside. Patrons enjoy innovative and diverse seafood dishes from octopus to uni and diner-favorites such as lobster rolls and oysters. Pair your meal with a lineup of refreshing cocktails and you’ll understand why Ironside is one of the most popular restaurants in the region.

"A lot of the fish is still flopping when it arrives here," two Michelin-star chef Jason McLeod tells Julie Miller of goodfood.com,"We want to showcase fishermen as they are the heart and soul of this neighborhood, an integral part of Little Italy."

For a mid-week refreshing night out after work, we recommend the Rock Fish Ceviche and Chef Jason McLeod's very own hand-farmed oysters paired with a Paloma: made with tequila, grapefruit, lime, simple syrup and club soda. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm!

"Fun upbeat atmosphere featuring a modern decor with quality seafood dishes makes this restaurant one of my favorite places to dine in Little Italy. Their lobster roll and rock fish ceviche are two of my personal favorites not to mention their phenomenal happy hour boasts $1 oysters.” – Erik Romero Savina Property Specialist

Our Notes

  • The oysters are fresh and sweet. And only $1 during happy hour (3-6), you’re welcome!

  • The lobster roll and the chowder fries are to die for!

  • Parking is rough. So you might wind up parking several blocks away at a metered spot, but there are plenty of Lime bikes nearby so just scoot our way to the restaurant!

  • Beautiful

decor and ambiance that will lure you right inside. This place gets busy, so I would suggest making a reservation

  • The vibe in Ironside

    is

great, and although it gets loud- it is never too loud!

  • Can’t wait to get back soon!
