Seminary Hill

What They Are about
Seminary Hill offers an unforgettable backdrop for your wedding, whether it’s an intimate gathering, extravagant party, or somewhere in between. We offer multiple settings so you can create a celebration that is uniquely yours.
The House at Seminary Hill sits atop a ridge overlooking the Delaware River with 65 acres of stunning views in all directions. Built from timber felled on the property, the house is simply furnished, with kilim rugs covering the wood floors. Right outside are hiking & cross-country ski trails, and down the road is historic Callicoon with restaurants, shops and more.
Seminary Hill aims to be one of the northeast's premier orchard-based cideries by crafting superlative apple and pear cider from heirloom fruit grown in our own 12-acre orchard. The green design of our production facility, tasting room, and event space extends our commitment to the sustainability of the land and the local community.
Our Notes
Our family has roots in Callicoon that go back more than five generations. During Prohibition in the 1920s one great-grandfather distilled “apple jack” in a shed on the property—until the day he fell asleep during brewing and the shed burned down.
Now we are reviving and updating the orchard-to-bottle process to create distinctive blends from heirloom apples and pears. Visitors are invited to sample the cider created sustainably from the land that has nurtured the owner’s family for more than five generations
