Woodstock Sanctuary

What They Are about
Woodstock Sanctuary currently has over 400 rescued farmed animal residents, each given lifelong sanctuary and treated with respect as individuals. All animals at Woodstock Farm Sanctuary are those most commonly used in our food system.
Woodstock Sanctuary is open to the public every Saturday and Sunday, April through October of the calendar year, offering tours on the hour between 10:30 AM and 4:00 PM. Every visitor learns about industrial animal agriculture, the stories of the rescued residents, and how they can make changes to impact animals and the planet.
Woodstock Sanctuary is known for its innovative rescue work, campaigns, and a top-notch animal caregiving program. Campaigns include Dairy Truth (dairytruth.org) and Consider the Egg (considertheegg.org). Woodstock Sanctuary offers an internship program and a volunteer program, both which operate all year long.
The Sanctuary recently opened its new onsite, boutique inn The Gray Barn in April 2019. The inn offers five en-suite rooms, each with their own balcony. Each stay includes a fresh vegan breakfast and immersive tour.
