This Friday, July 31, from 7 to 9:30 p.m., the Walkway becomes something more than a bridge for a few hours. It's the second annual Lights Across the Hudson, put on by the Hudson Valley Hospice Foundation, and it's exactly what it sounds like: thousands of glowing luminaries lining the path between Poughkeepsie and Highland, each one dedicated to someone who died, each one carried onto the bridge by someone who still remembers them.
